Excellent missole cushioning and the upper mesh material is very adaptible and flexible,no rubbing of toes. However pick 1 size bigger, the shoe runs narrow. I am size 8 and usually pick 8.5 with brooks and saucony. Adidas was size 9.
These are amazing - but the colored rubber sole wears right of.. I am return my second pair as defective - bought in July and not my only shoe in rotation.. the colored rubber has already worn off to expose the white boost material on the edge of the shoe.. Adidas, when will the revised build be in-store and online with Continental rubber? To be clear these are fantastic shoes other then this. Great for narrow feet, great ride, great looking. My dress shoe size is US7.5 I wear a 9 in women's or 8 in men's in these.
I love everything about this shoe except not enough reflective material on it. I run a lot in the dark and will have to add aftermarket reflective trim. I need to be seen 360 degrees!! Please consider safety on every shoe you manufacture!!
This is my first time to try the energy boost and I never have other professional running shoes before. I ordered half-size larger as everyone suggested, and it feels perfect. The first running experience (3km) is great. The cushioning on the heel is so soft that keeps me running and never want to stop. I would like to use them as my first half-marathon shoes. The only thing I noticed was that there was no mi logo at the outsoles like the photo suggested.
I celebrated my 55 birthday today with a goal in mind to run a morning 5k. this was me against myself. I dressed out and laced up my new Energy Boost 3 Shoes and truly had a personal best run. The shoes were everything I had hoped and helped deliver a great personal time. the support from the soles, through the boost, made for a great easy stride. I have a good pair of Adidas running shoes I had recently purchased, but in no way compare to the Energy Boost. well worth the price point! thank you Adidas for a great shoe!
I like the products especially because of the compliments I've received wearing this shoe. The reason I purchased this because I'm particular about the way a shoe looks on my foot and the way the material of the three stripes is mainly the reason why I purchased the shoe - it's aesthetically pleasing to my eye.
These shoes are incredibly stylish, in and out of the gym. Their comfort reaches another level unseen in other brands; I can easily walk all day in the streets of London without my feet ever aching. I lived in the USA for a while and got used to their shoe sizes. I usually wear 11.5 (American Size) sized shoes. I heard shoe sizes are usually one size bigger in the UK (ex: an 11 in the USA is a 10 in the UK), but in Adidas, they're only half a size bigger (11 in the USA is an 11.5 in Adidas). Follow the size chart faithfully and you won't be disappointed. They are a bit narrow, which I think is normal in UK shoes, when compared to American ones. But, they weren't uncomfortable. It was more like they felt snug in a way that made them securely attached to my feet when I walked or ran. That being said, the fit is still incredibly comfortable.
This is my 4th pair of Adidas Energy Boost. The other 3 pairs were amazing...which is why I kept buying this shoe. For some reason with this Boost 3 - there's a bulge or something where the laces are tied that causes a lot of pressure and pain on a certain spot on each foot that has caused bruising. I've worn them 3 times now and can't even put them on at this point. I'd like to return them...because as I mentioned - I've worn and love the other three pairs of Energy Boost I've owned. This pair seems to have a defect.
I have worn energy boosts since they came out but this version is narrow and tight. I tried to run a half marathon in a new pair. At the end of the run my foot hurt I took off my shoe to find that two toes were bruised and later found out I had a stress fracture due to the shoes being too tight. I have worn the same size forever but this pair runs very small!!
I bought my shoes on-line and had to return my original order because they were too small. These shoes fit small to my normal shoe purchases. The on-line return process was extremely simple and my visa card was credited with the refund within 10 days. I than ordered a bigger size and was happy with the purchase.
first pair of boost trainers so was looking forward to seeing what the fuss was about. Incredibly comfortable and cushioned and the sock like fit is comfortable. Has taken a few runs to break them in, but well worth it. Might look to the Ultraboost for the next purchase
Love these shoes for running, takes away some of the impact and I feel I can run longer with them because my legs get less tired. Really comfortable as well, I did have to order half a size larger because I found my regular size too tight with these. Overall would highly recommend.
This is my third year buying Adidas energy and adios boost - I am an elite athlete logging in high conditioning and Sprint kms as well as agility, adidas out performs all the other brands that I have tried in durability and endurance - I am excited that the adios has the contenential tread (will last even longer) !!! Thanks for making a superior shoe with competitive prices
The shoe is great and super comfortable. However it did not last more than 3 months. The white sole part of the shoe is a plastic foam material and the smallest scuff causes damage. Also the actual sole of the shoe does not adhere to the plastic foam and began peeling off after 2 months.
I was advised to get a bigger size for running because your feet swell so glad I listened to that advice. These shoes are the comfiest trainers I have ever had, they literally put a spring in your step. The soles are amazing.
Great product, well made, really comfortable piece of kit and look awesome. I bought Size 8 which are neat but comfortable, maybe suggest .5 size up if you like a little extra space. Would be good if there was a wider choice of colour too e.g. maybe blue & red
As a high school distance runner, I have run over 150+ miles in these. As a neutral striker, I was looking for something that would give me support in the mid foot and in parts of the heel. These did not give me proper support in that area, and my runs would be very uncomfortable. However, these are perfect for tempos and other speed workouts.
Really comfortable shoe. I would have given this shoe five stars except I am undetermined if the cushioning in the forefoot is less than previous or not. After some longer runs, I've found my front foot pads a little tender; it may be because I have been off running for a period because of injury and am now getting back to longer distances. Still the shoe forms around the foot very nicely and the heel cushioning and support is excellent.
I have worn the energy boost for almost three years now and I absolutely love the shoe. It makes me really sad because when switching from version 2 to 3 adidas changed the upper around the toe box. The shoe used to stay snug to your foot but now I can only get about 100 miles on them before they are way too loose and cause pain. I wish they would go back to the old tech fit! For now I will go back to wearing the Energy Boost ESM 2 until the quality of the new shoe is fixed.
These shoes ran stiff and the edge of the front inside rubbed on my pinky toe so much that they were very painful to run in. I thought I would like this more structured shoe than the ultra boost. But I prefer the ultra boost and will return these to get another pair of ultra boost.
